While anybody can open an OnlyFans account, the site has gotten famous for users with selling nudes and porn videos to subscribers. With over 130 million users, OnlyFans has become a heaven for porn creators to make money. Some of them made an absurd amount of money in just a couple of days of opening their account. This comes at a cost as usually NSFW content seems to repel the banking industry and potential investors. OnlyFans has also face high processing costs from billers (eg. CCBill). These billers charge higher rates for businesses in the adult industry. The scrutiny that Pornhub has been getting in the last year triggered payment processors to get stricter and stricter in this industry.

Creators now wonder what content they may need to remove from the platform in order to be compliant with the new terms of service. Luckily for them, many alternatives have emerged to enter this growing social media porn industry.
